#GivingTuesday 2023-- 20 Years Down, 20+ More to Go!

The Centennial Valley is an iconic landscape where private landowners, CVA, and partner organizations work hard to maintain undeveloped, open space on a shared landscape. Though the valley may be an isolated location, there are incredible landowners, community members, partners, and staff that create a vibrant, hard working, and welcoming community.

In June of 2023, CVA kicked off its 20th year since being established…and the organization has come so far since then! We have a Board of Directors team of 10, a growing staff to implement our four programmatic focuses, and many amazing partners to collaborate with. That's pretty great for an organization that started with the goal to disseminate information!

CVA’s incredible staff Team, Board of Directors, members, supporters, volunteers, and partners work to maintain a healthy, thriving, and shared working landscape for the future generations of people, working lands, and wildlife! This year, the CVA Team continued to support the Centennial Valley by:

  • Mitigating wildlife-livestock and wildlife-human conflicts across thousands of acres.

  • Utilizing the Early Detection, Rapid Response model to map and treat invasive plant infestations on public and private lands.

  • Monitoring and reporting on water and drought data.

  • Sharing multiple newsletters, blogs, and a Wildlife Speaker Series event for the community, near and far.

As we look ahead to the next twenty years, CVA will increase momentum to build capacity for our programs and staff. But we need your help! We are kicking off our end-of-year appeal today, on #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is an international generosity movement to inspire people to give back in their communities and places they care about. You can give back to the CVA Team, programs, and the Centennial Valley by:

  • Donating via PayPal Giving Fund. The Giving Fund does not charge the donor or the charity receiving the donation any fees, so 100% of your donation reaches locally driven, on-the-ground projects and programs. CVA also accepts checks via snail mail!

  • Dedicating some of your time, resources, and expertise to the CVA in 2024.

  • Supporting the CVA by becoming a member or purchasing a warm CVA winter hat.

  • Sharing CVA with your family, friends, or anyone else who may want to support the Centennial Valley by spreading the word via email, social media, or word of mouth!

By giving to CVA this #GivingTuesday, you help fund community building opportunities and programs that ensure connection and maintenance of this incredible landscape for future generations of people, working lands, and wildlife to come!
