Field Season Happenings 2023— WHIP Monitoring

In August and September, the CVA Field Crew, with help from The Nature Conservancy, monitored our Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program (WHIP) grant areas. As part of the grant protocol, CVA has existing and newly established monitoring transects in the WHIP project area. These transects are monitored annually to track our progress of weed management activities (herbicide application & hand pulling of seed heads) and reseeding efforts to reduce bareground soil and monitor the establishment of native vegetation.
